Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions has a career opportunity for a Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to join our team in El Paso, TX. Key Responsibilities:

  • Certified Welding Inspector (CWI) to support structural steel inspection for fabrication shop and / or field quality assurance inspection services with the following certifications AWS-CWI, NDT Level I or II in MT and UT methods
  • Please do not submit your resume for consideration unless you can provide us with current certifications as listed above
  • Experience with building inspection and specifications is a must
  • Will travel mostly within Texas or New Mexico and may also travel to surrounding states - Approximately 30% overnight travel

Skills / Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Must have a High School diploma or equivalent
  • AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI), NDT Level I or II in MT and UT methods
  • 5+ years inspection / construction experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills, organizational skills and technical writing skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel mostly within Texas and New Mexico and may also travel to surrounding states - Approximately 30% overnight travel
  • Must pass drug test, physical, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company's driving (MVR) policy

Physical Demands:

  • Fully capable of rigorous physical activity
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to work on scaffolding or in elevated locations
  • Ability to drive long hours during travel assignments
