Overview / Responsibilities

Wood Environment & Infrastructure Solutions is currently Stormwater/Watershed Engineering Project Manager to join our Florida Water Team. We are experts in surface water modeling and integrated water resource management, and we are dedicated to providing opportunities for individuals to grow their career.

 

Work Location: Open to any Wood E&IS office location in Florida

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Win, plan, perform, and supervise engineering work on a wide range of stormwater projects including, but not limited to watershed management plans and studies, restoration design, drainage design, and resiliency
  • Thoughtfully prepare quality proposals, schedules, reports, and deliverable packages
  • Perform quality assurance / quality control checks by other engineers to confirm accuracy and appropriateness of designs, computations, drawings, and reports
  • Maintain strong financial performance while providing on-time and quality project deliverables
  • Effectively organize and lead the efforts of a multi-disciplinary project team, including engineers, scientists, technicians and sub-consultants
  • Work collaboratively with and mentor junior staff in a positive and professional manner
  • Fosters relationships with team members, clients, and prospective clients, as well as industry stakeholders and regulators

Skills / Qualifications

  • BS or MS in Civil, Environmental, Water Resources or related engineering degree
  • 10+ years of related experience
  • Licensed Florida Professional Engineer or ability to become licensed within 6 months of hire
  • Experience with large and small municipal clients
  • Demonstrated experience in project management performance
  • Experience in Watershed Management Plans, Hydraulic Engineering, FEMA studies including LOMR / CLOMR; Natural Channel Design, Stormwater Management, Stream Stabilization, Bridge Scour, and Hydraulic Design (Levee / Dam Breach, 2D/3D Hydrodynamic Modeling, and Programming is a plus)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency with ICPR4, ICPR3, SWMM, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, ARC-GIS, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Valid Florida driver’s license and must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policy
